One of the reasons for Comey’s dismissal was an attempt to disrupt the FBI’s investigation into possible ties between Trump’s representatives and Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Today, James Comey is a professor at the College of William and Mary, where he teaches a course on ethical leadership.

James Comey, who was fired by Trump for disloyalty to his own person, has become the most famous and discussed FBI Director in the United States since Edgar Hoover. Millions of people believe that James Comey made the wrong decision when he announced only eleven days before the presidential election that the FBI was reopening the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email handling. Comey himself said: “Smart people would have chosen a different door for smart reasons.” Because he felt he was “trying to do the right thing” and listened to his conscience in taking this difficult step, Comey can be honest with himself and his decision, even though he made a controversial choice with historical implications.
