The author’s course by Maksym Andrushchenko, PhD in Political Science, is aimed at forming an understanding of key ethical concepts and concepts that are practically implemented in the political process.

What is the relationship between politics and morality? Can politicians overstep moral boundaries in the name of political necessity? Do leaders always lie? How much political compromise is too much (or too little)?

This course offers a chance to explore the key questions of this rapidly growing field of political theory with leading thinkers in politics, philosophy, and related fields.

THE COURSE DEVELOPS A COMPREHENSIVE UNDERSTANDING OF THE RELATIONSHIP AND INTERACTION BETWEEN POLITICS AND ETHICS, OFFERING A NON-TRIVIAL APPROACH BY DRAWING ON BOTH CLASSICAL PHILOSOPHICAL TEXTS AND CONTEMPORARY NARRATIVES.

The practical component includes the consideration of political cases that are directly related to the ethical dimension.
