You’ll turn up with your idea of a strategic plan. It’ll last twenty minutes. Then the really interesting bit will begin.

‘Forget about black swans’
A black swan is something you haven’t seen. A ψ-Dragon is something everyone sees, but no one knows what state it’s in until someone tames it. The difference is fundamental: a swan just happens to you, whereas the Dragon’s state depends on your decisions.

Our simulation is precisely about the world in which you live and are forced to make decisions.

R — Reflexivity: the extent to which you view your own role and decisions as part of the environment of others

‘What will happen in a day’

In the morning, you’ll draw up a confident three-year plan for your business, region or organisation and seal it in an envelope.
Three times a day, your plan will be tested by new realities. Will it hold up?
You’ll discover that ‘uncertainty’, ‘challenges’ and ‘threats’ are simply variables in your game.
At 3.00 pm, you’ll have a new action plan.
At 5.00 pm, you’ll have a moment of clarity.

Author and academic director of the School of Architects of the Future at the KSPA.

Is any preparation required? No. All you need is a real-world entity for which you are responsible: a business, a public authority, a hromada (community) or an organisation.
