“THE HIGHEST LOYALTY. TRUTH, LIES AND LEADERSHIP. MEMOIRS OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE FBI”

The memoirs of former FBI Director James Comey, who was fired by Trump for disloyalty to his own person, have become a bestseller in the United States. “A Higher Loyalty” is a summary of his career in law enforcement and justice in the United States. It includes Comey’s reflections on ethical leadership and a firsthand political analysis of the last US presidential election.

In his twenty years of working for the US government, the author has been involved in some of the most high-profile cases – Comey led the FBI investigation into Trump campaign members’ collusion with Russia to influence the 2016 election; he was the prosecutor who helped bring down the Gambino crime family.
It is between these two cases that the author boldly draws an analogy, comparing the Trump administration to a criminal group. Using the example of his own professional career, he shows how one can remain faithful to the principles of democracy and not be manipulated by a particular group of people.

The book was translated and published in Ukrainian by the “Laboratoriya” publishing house together with Kyiv School of Public Administration named after Serhiy Nyzhnyy.
